1. What we collect

The system collects only what's needed to run school accounts and control access to titles:

• Account details — name, email, school, and role (school administrator)
• Login activity — sign-in timestamps, used for account security
• A session cookie — keeps you signed in while you use the system

We do not collect analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking data.

2. Cookies

The system sets one essential cookie to maintain your login session. Without it, signing in isn't possible. This cookie is not used for tracking, advertising, or shared with any third party, and it's cleared when you sign out or it expires.

3. How we use this data

• To authenticate accounts and keep you signed in
• To control which schools and titles an account can access
• To provide support when an account or access issue is reported

4. Data sharing

Account data is not sold or shared with third parties. It may be disclosed if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Platinum Publications, participating schools, or system users.

5. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as a school's access to the system remains active. Data tied to accounts that are no longer in use may be removed periodically.

6. Data security

The system is served over HTTPS, so data sent between your browser and the server is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing, not in plain text, and school accounts are isolated from one another so one school cannot see another school's data.

7. Content protection

Books are served through a protected in-browser reader with watermarking and access controls, in place to protect the copyrighted content of Platinum Publications and its authors: not to collect additional personal data beyond what's listed above.

8. Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) and comparable data protection frameworks, you have the following rights over your account data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about your account
• Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or outdated account details
• Erasure — request that your account data be deleted once it's no longer needed
• Restriction — ask us to limit how your account data is processed in specific cases
• Portability — request your account data in a format you can transfer elsewhere

School administrators can raise any of these requests directly with your Platinum Publications representative.

9. Children's data

Accounts on this system are issued to school administrators and staff, not students. The system is not intended to collect personal data directly from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to school administrators by email or noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the system after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
